| Our long shank burs are manufactured with a solid carbide bur brazed to a
6" long steel shank. These burs are for those jobs when you need a little extra
reach. They are available in Double Cut and now some are available in Aluminum Cut. Double
cut allows for rapid stock removal in harder materials. The addition of the left
hand flutes (as compared to Standard Cut) reduces the pulling action, allowing better
operator control. It reduces the size of the chips and can be used at relatively
slower speeds.
Aluminum Cut or NF Cut burs are for use with softer materials such as aluminum intakes for automotive/ATV/motorcycle porting.
